Privacy Policy

Who we are

StockDesk Inventory (“StockDesk”, “we”, “us”) provides inventory and POS control software for busy counters. We currently operate from Uganda. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Built in collaboration with Grittrix Technologies.

What we collect

• Account details: name, phone, email, and shop name when you sign up.
• Shop data you enter: products, stock levels, sales, staff logins, and related notes.
• Usage data: device type, browser, and basic logs that help us keep the product stable.
• Payment references for plan billing (for example Mobile Money transaction IDs), not your full wallet PIN or full card number.

How we use data

• To run your till, stock, and staff features.
• To bill your plan and confirm payments.
• To support you on WhatsApp, email, or in-app help.
• To improve reliability, security, and product quality.

We do not sell your shop data to third parties for advertising.

Who can see your data

Only people you invite to your shop (owner and staff roles you assign) can see the data you put in StockDesk, according to their role. Our team may access accounts only to fix issues you report or to protect the service.

Storage and security

Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure with access controls. We use industry-standard practices to reduce risk, but no online service is 100% risk-free. Keep staff passwords private and remove access when someone leaves the shop.

How long we keep data

We keep your shop data while your account is active. If you close the account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period unless law requires us to keep records longer (for example billing history).

Your choices

• Update or correct shop and staff details inside the app.
• Export or request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Request account deletion via WhatsApp or email.
